Stable drum with large funnel perforation
The STAHL drum is suitable for washing all types of textiles, even heavily soiled mops or mats, in just one machine, without leaving coarse dirt in the drum after the wash cycle. In addition, due to the funnel perforations, lower spin speeds are required for a residual moisture of approximately 48%.The STAHL stainless steel drum has funnel-shaped and slightly outward curved perforations. This means that your wash is treated very gently and the desired friction effect is increased in the wash but reduced on the metal. The number of holes and their size have been optimised to give you the maximum possible level of efficiency. They ensure that any foam is released quickly, which is important, especially during the spin cycle, to achieve the desired residual moisture level of approximately 48% quickly and with minimum energy consumption. During the spin cycle, the laundry is pressed against the perforations of the funnel. If the drum perforations are too small, more power is required due to the higher spin speed and longer spin cycle time. This results in higher power consumption and more wear on the bearings and spring/damper system. With STAHL drum perforations you also benefit from the fact that no coarse dirt remains in the drum after the wash cycle. Depending on the size of the washing machine, the ATOLL is equipped with between four and six drum fins, which are also perforated. This perforated rib technology provides greater movement and faster wetting of your laundry, saving time and energy. Another advantage of the ATOLL drum is the dome on the rear side. This reduces the area that does not come into contact with the laundry compared to conventional systems. The amount of unused water is therefore reduced and this also saves you water and energy.
Oversized stainless steel drain valve
The stainless steel drain valve ensures reliable operation even when there is coarse dirt in the wash and is accessible from the front via a large service cover. The drain valve is designed and manufactured by STAHL with a stepped shape, which prevents dirt accumulation and foreign bodies from getting stuck in it. This guarantees you a reliable and economical workflow without the need for time-consuming maintenance. The stainless steel bleed valve in STAHL washing machines is operated by water or air and therefore remains closed even if there is a power failure, which would otherwise result in water loss and having to restart the washing process. Another advantage for you is that they do not wear out as there is no rubber diaphragm, ball or strainer fitted in the STAHL stainless steel drain cock. You save energy, water, time and detergent.This is achieved through an innovative design used exclusively in STAHL washing machines. The circular drum does not rotate in an outer circular drum, as is usually the case, because STAHL found the ideal shape for the outer drum. The water pressure increases as the drum is narrowed and the water flows through the perforations and ribs of the drum quickly and under pressure, immersing the laundry.
Innovative overflow rinsing process increases the level of cleaning when washing
In the overflow rinsing process, the detergent with the dirt dissolved in it is removed by the rotating movement of the drum through the lower overflow. This saves you a full rinse cycle and allows for shorter wash times and reduced water and energy consumption.
In addition, laundry detergent and dissolved dirt do not pass through the bottom drain as in the conventional rinse process. This increases the level of cleaning when washing and reduces wear on your laundry.
